Review of Unforgiven (1992) by Danny O — 08 Aug 2015
Unforgiven is an excellent movie and possibly the finest western I have ever seen. The acting and characters are very good. The villain is a formidable and memorable opponent, and the supporting characters all get a chance to shine.
It is very well directed, shot, and written. The action and intense scenes really work. The movie is sort of a character study of Clint Eastwood's character, and for that it works extremely well, as he is very interesting.
The story is pretty great too, not wholly original but well executed. It sheds western violence in a whole new light such as the effects it has on the murderers. The ending Is fantastic, it's very intense and interesting.
Unforgiven gets 5/5 stars (A+).
