Review of Unforgettable (2017) by Brandon W — 01 Jan 2018

Unforgettable is directed by Denise Di Novi in her directorial debut, and it stars Rosario Dawson, Katherine Heigl, and Geoff Stults in a drama thriller about a couple that are about to get married, but the boyfriend's ex-wife realizes about that fact and doesn't like it actually, and wants to be back together with her ex-husband, whatever it takes to do so.

I only heard of this from Brad Jones's midnight screening of this movie, and how it was so ridiculous when the movie goes on. So I of course want to see what this type of genre is going to be like as I never watched those films.

So when I watched it, now I see what I got myself into as this is a lot of fun to watch, but in a very trashy way. The acting is very good, in fact way too good for this type of material, and seeing Katherine Heigl play a crazy stalker is honestly something that I never seen her do ever in her career, she's one of the best parts of the film that she gives one of her best performances since Knocked Up, and I'll love to see more of her acting like that in other films.

I really like how crazy it gets, even if I wanted it to go balls to the wall insane. The score I don't even know whether it's way too good for this movie, or it just fits with this type of material.

The movie is completely idiotic, especially the boyfriend who didn't seem to know his ex-wife is obsessed with him, even when they were married together, and doesn't necessarily believe Rosario Dawson's character completely when he's supposed to be getting married with her, which is why I'm not happy enough to know that the writer of this is also writing Bumblebee: The Movie.

There are a lot of stuff that I get mad at, but also laugh at the same time as the film is just so much fun when the movie is too stupid to realize on its own, and it could've been so much more to embrace itself.

Unforgettable is a terrible film that I'm glad I've seen this for free on DirecTV.
