Review of Unfinished Business (2015) by Rusty A — 06 Jul 2016
I laughed until my sides hurt in this movie. And since comedies are my favorite genre that helps with my rating of this film. The story doesn't meet its potential and if it weren't for the laughter this would not be worth your time.
I'm not a Vince Vaughn fan; he is the same character in every film he does. But every once in a while a role just fits him or at least doesn't make it so he distracts from the film (The Watch, for instance).
Although it's hard to believe anyone with his character's personality would be able to start his own business, blah blah blah, it's not as detracting as in other films. For me, the star was Dave Franco who's so good at his character that I found myself saying, "bless him", quite a few times and just hanging on every word that came out of his mouth.
I was thrown off by the raunchiness of the film which I did not expect, so be warned. The comedy had me laughing so hard that I didn't care about the poor script, made up German word (which I kept repeating, by the way, and laughing each time I did), or anything else.
What I cared about was whether or not I would be able to take a drink without spitting it out all over the place. If you like to laugh, see this. Don't expect a great story or anything, just go in for the laugh.
