Yes, Diane Lane is fantastic in the lead role of an unfaithful wife who finds sexual pleasure with a rare book dealer, but I couldn't help but feel let down by this film. It features Diane Lane, a very attractive woman, in a sexy role, but somehow fails to be sexy.
Of course that ultimately doesn't matter, but the film also comes off as dull and almost lifeless. The story is simple and the end is extremely annoying. So much so, that it probably doesn't even count as an ending, since nothing is actually resolved.
