Review of Underworld: Rise of the Lycans (2009) by Greg P — 11 Dec 2011

Pretty good movie. Did a good job with the back story of how the Vampire/Lycan war began. I don't rank this as high as the first Underworld, which I really liked a lot, but I would put it around the same or a bit better than the second.

Michael Sheen continues to do a very good job in this role and Bill Nighy is great as Viktor. I am a bit biased however because I love him in everything he does. My only real complaint with this movie was with how dark it was.

I understand why but it just makes it hard to see everything in detail at times. All in all, a fun movie that adds to the Underworld storyline.
