Review of Underworld: Rise of the Lycans (2009) by Amber K — 20 May 2010
Underworld: Rise of the Lycans was a good film. If you are a fan of the series then you will not be disappointed. If you're not a fan of the series then this film is a good way to start the story, seeing as this film is a prequel in the Underworld series.
The film stayed true to the story (as told in the other underworld films). Michael Sheen and Rhona Mitra fit very well together. I enjoyed Michael Sheen's performance in the Underworld series and his performance does not fall flat.
There was plenty of action and thrills, even knowing how the film was going to end. This film speaks a lot about Lucian and Sonja relationship. It shows you how Lucian grows to become the creature he is in the Underworld series and how Viktor becomes the creature that he is.
I would recommend this film.
