Review of Underworld: Rise of the Lycans (2009) by Shane H — 08 Apr 2012
The prequel to the Underworld series explaining the war between the vampires and the lycans. Vicktor the head of the vampires is destroying the werewolves to protect his coven and the human nobles in his area.
Then a baby (Lucian) is born of lycan blood that can change from human to wolf on command and is spared to spawn a new race of wolves to protect the vampires while they slumber. Lucian falls in love with Vicktor's daughter Sonya and they conceive a hybrid baby.
Vicktor is outraged and imprisons both Sonya and Lucian. I don't wanna give away any more of the movie so I will go on to say the action is incredible and the effects are top notch. Lot's of battles and between both factions leads to a superior movie and a perfect start, or end of the series.
