Review of Underworld: Rise of the Lycans (2009) by Pascale S — 01 Jan 2013
I love the dark, medieval setting for this film. The story is actually quite good, and the effects are believable enough. No, in an artistic framework it is not the best, but this film doesn't claim to be a work of art.
It is an entertaining journey into the fantastical world of vampires and werewolves with a decent premise. I also enjoyed the dynamic of the relationship between the human nobles and their vampire overlords.
The costumes, sets, and props were really cool as well. Not the greatest cinematography. Really, it's a good movie, and not a waste of time at all.
