Review of Underworld: Rise of the Lycans (2009) by Michael T — 06 Feb 2013

Excellent! From the opening scene there was drama. The action was SUPER! It made me want to go back and watch the first one again. Unfortunately, it made me think about the crap that was the second Underworld as well. However, by the end of the movie I wasn't thinking about anything except what an absolute fuck Victor is.

This movie has a great love story at it's core and it is the driving force of the story. It's an age old tale of forbidden love between someone privelaged and someone who's a slave and the dire consequences of that paring. Even knowing how it was all going to go didn't destroy the story at all, I think it enhanced the expierience. I give this film a B+ and I highly recomend seeing it in the theater.
