Review of Underworld: Blood Wars (2016) by Will S — 13 Jan 2017
Genuinely one of the worst movies I have seen in the past 12 months. There are almost no redeeming qualities here say for perhaps the design, costumes & set.
It begins telling you what happened in the previous movies, assuming you have never wanted to watch one before, which after this you won't watch another.
Half of this movie is seemingly shaky flashbacks from the past movies and the rest of it likes to play the "I don't like you anymore" card. I think I counted 4 different pairings that turned on one another. Alright one little twist is enough.. but when you repeat the same move four times it's a little tedious.
They should have named this movie: Game of Thrones Go Goth.
That's what it seemed like with several of the main cast pulled directly from the show. Unfortunately there's very little worth watching here compared to their previous works.
We know why we all saw it though, one last look at Kate in tight leather.
Forgot to add at one point they get on a train which appears to have no track in front of it in the middle of a snowy mountain range.. they stand up after spotting a castle... suddenly they are on a horse riding over a frozen lake.
