Review of Underworld: Blood Wars (2016) by Lee H — 20 Jan 2017

If you've seen one the previous 4 Underworld films before, then this is more of the same. Every film is almost identical, with the main character Seline either dying or coming close to it, but then getting an upgrade of some kind which makes her stronger - this one is the same! This is better than the last outing, but that film was truly terrible so it isn't saying much.

The Underworld universe is an interesting concept; Vampires and Lycans (werewolves) are at war around us and while there are other film franchises that do this but in a really awful way, cough..Twilight cough.

. each sequel has failed to live up to promise of the original. If you liked the previous Underworld films, you will probably like this one and the blatant sequel that's set up at the end. If didn't like the previous ones, this isn't going to convert you.
