Review of Underworld: Awakening (2012) by Mad_Hatter91 — 11 Aug 2012
Underworld - The Awakening is a film of the 2012 gender action, fantasy, horror film directed by Måns Marlind and Björn Stein and starring Kate Beckinsale, India Eisley, Michael Ealy and Stephen Rea and is the sequel to Underworld - Evolution.
I must say that I had great expectations for this sequel, but after seeing it, I changed my mind. Better than the second chapter (at least for me), Underworld - The Awakening film is raw, full of action and with the dark atmosphere.
The plot is simple because Underworld is a film of pure entertainment. Kate Beckinsale Selene in the good. Good photography and shots, with 3D, fail to give proper depth. Speaking again of the 3D is well done and very effective (although we are not at the levels of Avatar).
The only flaw of this film (and the other in the saga of Underwold) is that the psychology of the characters is little addressed. Finally, this sequel will not disappoint fans of the saga at all, rather it will make them happy even if there will be Scott Speedman the actor who plays Michael.
The movie I recommend to lovers of the Underworld saga and who wants to be seen a film full of action.
