Review of Underworld: Awakening (2012) by Tim R — 09 Oct 2012

So I am a big fan of the Underworld films, I in fact really like both 1 and 2 and while I think 3 is a missed opportunity it is still entertaining. This, however, I found little enjoyment in. They rush out a prologue about humans finding out about and instantly crushing the Vampires and Lycans, that feels like it should have been the film but here it is just a set up that ultimately still ignores the larger populace and focuses on the Lycan/Vamp conflict which is getting pretty tired at this point.

I think there is an interesting mythos to these films but the last 2 have really done nothing to expand it. Oh well at least there was still Kate Beckinsale in tight black leather to look at.
