Review of Underworld: Awakening (2012) by Antony G — 07 Dec 2014
Much like the Resident Evil franchise it tries to reinvent itself with new species & ideas with every sequel but ends up looking silly. This fourth instalment lacks substance but is full of unnecessary violence & gore with bountiful amounts of action around every corner.
Our heroine, Selene, is now in a world where the Human Race are fully aware of the existence of both Vampire & Lycon & are hell bent on purging the world of both species. After her own capture she awakens, 12 years later, from cryogenic sleep to find the Lycons are on the verge of extinction but are fighting back & require her lovers, Michael Corvin, DNA to survive.
