Review of Underworld: Awakening (2012) by Zane G — 10 Feb 2013
Underworld Awakening is just a big mess of franchise that isn't all that great.
The film follows Vampire warrior Selene, who escapes imprisonment only to found out that she is in a world where humans have discovered the existence of both Vampires and Lycan clans, and are conducting an all out war to eradicate both immortal species.
I might ask myself, Did I ever like these series movies? Or is this franchise better then the Resident Evil Franchise? Well the answer is no for both. Resident Evil is not good either. Aside from that this movie sucks so bad that I just want to disappear. I know there's people out there who just love these movies, but I'm sorry people but all of these movies are horrendous. The movie is slow, predictable, the acting isn't great and the tone or style of the movie just doesn't work at all.
Kate Beckinsale may look sexy in Latex but she's terrible in this. She probably in this just for another Pay Check. Other then that, there aren't any other familiar faces in this pile of junk.
This movie is said to promise us good action when this is just a mindless popcorn action flick with a minimalistic story.
