Review of Underworld (2003) by Brett C — 02 Dec 2016
An amazing take on Vampires and Werewolves - Bill Nighy and Michael Sheen don't know how to give a bad performance, and Nighy's Victor is the most imposing Vampire Lord you will see outside of Christopher Lee Dracula movie.
Beckinsa lie and Speedman are solid in their roles, and the action is fun, frequent, and cleverly executed. As for the story, it's tale of war, politics, forbidden love, betrayal and reckoning are worthy of Shakespeare - if the Bard had a fondness for automatic weapons and Kate Beckinsale in skin tight black leather.
