Cheap effects and crappy acting are somewhat sustained by an entertainingly damp, gloomy tone and decent action scenes, although the gunplay and continuity is a shoddy mess throughout. Kate Beckinsale and Bill Nighy are alright but can't pull this B-movie out of the bargain bin tier - at best.
Worth a watch if you love vampires and werewolves but hate Twilight.
