Extremely well dressed vampires and werewolves at war with each other using kung fu and matrix style gun play, sounds cool right, no, Underworld squanders it's fun concept by bogging it down in endless exposition and an over earnest attempt at building a dull mythology we dont care about at all, action scenes are sparse and uninspired, an imaginative story pulled off with no imagination, no sense of real fun, and it takes itself far too seriously.
The only notable thing about it is Kate Beckinsale's glorious tight latex clad arse, thank you for that at least.
