For me personally the most outstanding movie of 2010.... Brokeback Mountain was deprived of the Oscar for best movie in 2006. Contracorriente is the nomination for best foreign movie 2011 for Peru. An Oscar it really really deserves (audience of Sundance agreed).
The two movies have some similarites but actually I find this picture even better..... Beautiful soundtrack, heartbreaking acting and astonishing cinematography. I've said enough but director Javier Fuentes Leon shows with this masterpiece what movie making is really about.
