Review of Undertow (2009) by Rafæl M — 21 Apr 2011
A really interesting story about homosexuality. This Peruvian film first gives us a depiction of traditional sea burial, and at the same time the notion of 'death' foreshadows the dilemma Cristiano has to face.
The twist is quite obvious (but you have to pay close attention to it), and the way reality and fantasy intertwine in the movie is brilliant. The message at the end is positive and clear.
