Review of Undertow (2004) by Micah G — 29 Mar 2009
I dug this film a lot. David Gordon Green's most entertaining film other than the comedy Pineapple Express. This film is firmly based in todays type of filmmaking, but it seems like a throwback to the films of the 1970s.
The film is definitely odd at times, but the story overtakes the slight oddities. David Gordon Green is one of the great new directors. All his films are worth seeing, and at least one will grab hold of anyone.
