Review of Underdog (2007) by Noel B — 08 Oct 2011
The one big problem with remaking a very old children's property into a new movie for children is that too many people put that original on a pedestal. They lose sight of the fact that this is a children's movie, and, above all, it needs to be fun for CHILDREN. This movie, more than anything else, succeeds there. I was an occasional viewer of the original cartoon in syndication, and there were enough call-backs to that series in order to amuse.
But this is for the kids, and it is an EXCELLENT kids movie.
