Review of Undercover Brother (2002) by Josh G — 02 Apr 2010
'Undercover Brother' is a 2002 American comedy film starring Eddie Griffin and directed by Malcolm D. Lee. The screenplay is by Michael McCullers and co-executive producer John Ridley, who created the original internet animation characters. It spoofs blaxploitation films of the 1970's as well as a number of other films, most notably the James Bond franchise. It also stars former Saturday Night Live cast member Chris Kattan, comedian Dave Chappelle, Aunjanue Ellis, Neil Patrick Harris, Billy Dee Williams, and features a cameo by James Brown.
The Movie style, element & theme are charming & funky for this movie, the music/sound background is bloody brilliant with Morden & classic song sung by black people like snoopy dogg, black women, Michael Jackson, James brown & loads movie, while I love the sound & especial the tune for the movie is ace (also it has alot of soul, funk & disco to is as a 70's theme, which I do love towards the movie), the director which is Malcolm D. Lee has made the best movie of his career me thinks as it has a whole lot of action-packed & the comedy, while the directing skill are brilliant & he does well for this unique film, while the acting in the film was really silly/stupid funny & decent comedian performances by; Eddie Griffin as Undercover Brother/Anton Jackson (Is soo cool & fanatics for the role as undercover bother), Chris Kattan as Mr. Feather (He was soo funny, silly & brilliant as mr.Feather, you can fight the black people there aswome), Denise Richards as White She-Devil/Penelope Snow (she did a sexy, cut, evil & Fabulous part in this role & no one better could play better as a cool sexy white female that all white & Black man fantasy's), Aunjanue Ellis as Sistah Girl, Dave Chappelle as Conspiracy Brother, Chi McBride as The Chief, Neil Patrick Harris as Lance the Intern, Gary Anthony Williams as Smart Brother, Billy Dee Williams as Gen. Warren Boutwell & the unknown cast member are just perfect towards the movie and the genre Action & Comedy which the two genre do alot of justices for this movie as both Comedy & Action blend really well together in this Spoof & Parody of James Bond, Black and White culture & blaxploitation movie.
The Movie was is like a black James bond as a parody/spoofy which was soo funny & perfect set & type of movie, is a brilliant setting of a black culture of history in 70's & how it re-deeming is self in millennium, it really silly, funny & full black man action in this great movie, the Movie has style, visuals effects & terrific special effects, but can tell on some of them that there really fake while some look real, the film is cheesy, but in a really good way of cheesiness, the film dose take on great Blaxploitation comedy in this film, I love Undercover Bother & Mr. Feather style of clothing in the movie, it is a cool & funky Spoof/Parody of a black James Bond movies, also of Bruce lee action with undercover bother & a culture show of the funny side of Black & White people, the movie has all the right funny & silly gags in just the right moments of the movie, it's a genius, clever, witty & intelligent set of a Comedy, Action, Spoof & Parody of James Bond, Black and White culture & blaxploitation, I love black people & there culture & music there aswome, it is the best 2002 Action, Comedy & Spoof/Parody team work movie of it year & decade (2000-2010), I Love the fight scene between Mr. Feather (Chris Kattan )& Undercover bother (Eddie Griffin) & the sexy cat fight scene between White She-Devil/Penelope Snow (Denise Richards) & Sistah Gir (Aunjanue Ellis) was sexy & dam right mean and the ending was a hay undercover spy ending, while taken a huge hilarious laughs at the end credited, the ending was decent & I really like this film it never gets old after eight years it's been out it totally for the teens & young adults. (The Movie was Fast-paced and filled with racial gags, Undercover Brother serves up plenty of laughs and sharp satire towards a great black movie, it really is the coolest & hippest Movie of the year (2002) & decade (2000-2010)).
