Review of Under the Tuscan Sun (2003) by Steve F — 26 May 2010
When I first watched this film, I was kind of 'meh' on it. But after viewing it again, I realize what this movie is really about: romance (in the truest sense of the word) and empowerment. This isn't a film about a women being empowered by sleeping around, wearing designer labels, and cooking up a revenge scheme. This is a movie about a woman finding herself as a person in an alien place and learning more about herself by learning about things around her. And Audrey Wells succeeds in bringing the audience along with her.
Well done.
