Review of Under the Sun (2015) by Kevin A — 16 Jul 2016
To think that there are millions who do not know about the internet, cell phones, Wikipedia, YouTube etc. is mind blowing. More so is the complete isolation and indocriation of 25 million Koreans. It is mandatory that every home (almost entirely dingy, dreary public housing dumpy barren apartments) display portraits of both Kim Il Sung, the founder of North Korea and his puffy now deceased son Kim Jong Il, followed by the corpulent 30 something dictator Kim Jong Un.
There is zero evidence of the outside world. There is no spontaneity, no smiles, no mirth, no cell phone and the only programs on TV are propaganda. That the entire populace is brainwashed is an understatement.
The "minders" remind all to be joyfull in celebrating exceeding the government quotas by "150%" then the reminders insist it be "200%". America is the true Satan and elementary school girls are taught that all Americans are cowards and that during the Korean war Americans sought out, shot and killed children.
I gave the film four stars mostly due to the shocking content that tells us all, there but for the grace of God, I do not live in the Hermit Kingdom. The film clearly shows that North Korea is not a country.
It is a cult. The living God adoration and constant, daily devotion to an ass hole is truly astounding. To think that this fat prick has perhaps a useable nuke is truly scarry, but do not count on Obama to make us safer.
