Review of Under the Skin (2014) by Xlazarus — 19 Jul 2014
This is not a film but rather a collection of abstract scenes. The plot devices and attempts at narrative feel shoehorned and out of place. The characters are hollow, wooden, boring. Johanssen's performance seems absurd as she bounces between charismatic dialogue and robotic set-pieces.
This is a disappointment. A film that seethes with potential but never delivers.
