Review of Under the Same Moon (2007) by Laura L — 17 Apr 2008
OMG this movie made me cry at least 8 times.
It's a very touching story about a Mother and son.
It's starts out with the son living in Mexico and his mother living illegally in LA. She calls every Sunday at 10am and she sends $300 a month so he can have a better life. His Grandmother cares for him. (His Dad isn't around.) When the Grandmother unexpectedly dies he decides to go to LA to find her. He meets all sorts of people along the way. Some nurturing and others pretty scary. He spends a lot the journey traveling with another illegal who is crabby and not very nice to him. He gradually warms to him during the week.
At the end we were both sobbing.
