Review of Under the Pavement Lies the Strand (1975) by Edward K — 13 Jun 2015
An engaging and believable film that explores the feminist dilemma and the male response. Not mired in philosophic dialogue but illustrates the disillusionment with ideological and utopian thinking inherent in radicalism.
The final scene of the couple clutching one another on a mattress as if lost on an ocean of indifference was extremely powerful.
