Ed harris fans will be disappointed-his role is small. what's interesting here are the performances by hackman, nolte and the trancendent cassidy (she was robbed of an oscar nomination). never have these actors been better.
a new genre is forged here ( "80's noir"-my creation!) and hackman's piano stylings to boot. pinter meets oliver stone.
