Review of Uncle Buck (1989) by Murder C — 07 Aug 2010
Buck Russell (John Candy) a unreliable slob has to babysit his brother Bob's (Garrett M. Brown) kids, including a rebellious teenage daughter (Jean Louisa Kelly) since Bob's wife Cindy's (Elaine Bromka) father had a heart-attack.
For some reason, might it be the casting of child-actor Macaulay Culkin I thought this John Hughes would be more of a silly comedy than it is, and that is the problem I have with the movie, it's never really that funny, more jokes and less morals would have been better.
Still "Uncle Buck" is entertaining enough to make it worth seeing, much thanks to the great John Candy.
