Review of Uncharted (2022) by Yopiyop — 20 Feb 2022

Was a pleasant surprise and I didn't come with a lot of expectations.

I never thought the soundtrack would be this bad. To the point were it harms the movie. A complete and utter miss that was. With weird cuts and with no impacts on the scenes. Any other music would have done a better job at this point. I get that they wanted the best since they hired the composer Ramin Djawadi but he didn't take this project seriously and it shows. For someone this talented(really good) something feels off because any human being that can hum a melody with their mouth can come up with something better.(but you be the judge).

I feel sad that I remember only hearing the game's theme song at the credit roll.

The casting was really good. The dialogs were kept light but always with intent and the action kept flowing. A good introduction for non fans.

 Whenever there is great complicity between actors in a movie it always shows. The best thing about this movie in my opinion is Drake and Sully's relation and its culmination towards the end. Made it worthwhile.

I think for the way it was presented and shown throughout there should be a second one and I am looking forward to it.

Mark Wahlberg pulled off a badass young Sully. Egotistical, a-hole, sensitive, funny and greedy with a heart of gold.

Keep in mind that they are doing the young version of the characters.

Lot of good compromises for only 2 hours and still the essence of uncharted is there at every corner.

There was a weird moment were a character in a scene was Cropped like the first time I used photoshop.
