Review of Uncertainty (2009) by Zoë A — 08 Jul 2010
This is one of those films I only really decided to see because of who's in it. That person being Joseph Gordon-Levitt. To date, I have yet to see him in anything I haven't liked. This was no exception.
In the interwoven vein of Sliding Doors, Uncertainty follows the dual possibilities of the July 4th for Bobby and Kate. Although the choice that initially splits the movie isn't much of an issue, the choices they face through each half are much more difficult. While the GREEN story may not be as thrilling as that of YELLOW, the decisions are much more heartfelt. And YELLOW brings an element of suspense and action that continues to hold your attention. Perhaps not the greatest story to come to the screen, but still an enticing and insightful piece. Makes you consider how many possibilities might have unfolded had we made a different choice.
