Review of Unbroken (2014) by John N — 21 Jan 2015

I'll try to be objective but it's hard with this movie. If it weren't for the subject matter (an American war hero movie) it would not have made theaters, rather, it would have gone straight to the B list on TV.

Something much better should have been made about such a heroic man. The character and scene development is zero and the segments are so predictable and drag on to an almost laughable length. Little things like how come two of the characters in the lifeboats had neatly grown goatees? WTF, they're in a lifeboat for weeks on end! Anyway, I wanted to like this movie but couldn't wait for it to end and almost laughed during the timber lifting scene.
