Nothing should take away from this man's character and what he went through. That being said, I feel after watching this movie I simply know what happened to him, not who he is or became and why it's relevant to me.
There is a difference between telling a story and relaying what happened. I wanted more than a standard triumph over adversity story from this remarkable tale.
