Unexciting and nearly passionless, Unbroken frantically works on telling us what the hero did, rather than why he did it. The hits don't hurt. The sounds don't satisfy. About as inspirational as looking at a picture of a kitten with "Just hang in there.
" For two-and-a-half hours.
