Saw this on 22/2/16.
At times Jolie's direction is sensational and at times it tends to be flat, still the film benefits in large parts from the performance of Jack O'Connell and its outstanding true survival story. Yet again especially in the third act, the film may fail to induce the much necessary heroics into its protagonist and hence tend to be a downer.
