Ok, Shyamalan has definitely succeeded in figuring out and demonstrating one of the top notch secrets of the vigilante and the archenemy businesses! He lays the groundwork for you to witness. You go through the whole process of the looming clouds of anticipation followed by point by point discoveries and realizations.

Then slowly (yes it's slow, you're a meat that is being marinated nicely) yet efficiently, he gets to you to the point where you are awestruck by the unraveling of a non-linear plot. It's a great psychological thriller run by dark and cryptic yet ill-fated Samuel L Jackson with an equally mystifying yet simple and gifted Bruce Willis as his muscle man! Kudos to the return of Bruce Willis and M.
