Review of Unbreakable (2000) by James Z — 15 Jul 2012
A thought provoking film, which shows Bruce Willis can do more then play action roles. Some criticise the ending for not giving enough. I thought this at first, tho I can't help wonder if other films have left us with a preconception. That all superhero movies have to be explosive, all action with silly costumes.
Shyamalan shows us a more realistic, believable take on superhero's, with the somber tone of life playing through out the film. Because the movie does not end in fireworks, I believe it disappoints many who have come to expect it in movie's.
Personally I feel the movie stands well alone without a sequel.
