Review of Unbreakable (2000) by Dylan D — 07 Sep 2013
Unbreakable is a superhero thriller. The story is about David Dunn played by Bruce Willis who survives a train crash amongst the 131 passengers on board. Astoundingly, not only David is alive but he hasn't even been touched.
As David wonders what really happened to him and how he was able to walk away, he encounters a mysterious stranger named Elijah Price played by Samuel L.Jackson who explains to him that a certain number of people are unbreakable where they have remarkable endurance and courage, a predisposition toward dangerous behavior, and feel invincible but also have strange premonitions of terrible events.
And here's what the twist was, it turns out that Elijah was his archenemy the whole time because through out the movie, the film made us look like he was fragile but he was collecting all the information both the strengths and weaknesses of others into his head and using them against him.
The film is basically all about supernatural events and the upside-down fate these two main characters are going through. Overall this movie is not perfect but it's almost perfect. Unbreakable gets a 9.
9/10.
