Review of Unbreakable (2000) by Justin C — 27 Nov 2014
Samuel L. Jackson! Wow! Truly felt like an unnaturally deranged man waiting to get his chance, but at the same time, ready to shatter at any second...literally. The cinematography and music is brilliant! The pacing is a little uneven sometimes, but the acting is superb, so it really cancels out.
The ending? Eh. Extremely weak, as I'm sure various critiques have stated within their reviews. It's just that the problem that the movie sets forth and the solution don't match up well. Without spoiling anything, the first time that a problem truly seems hard to conquer, and the stakes suddenly raise and it seems like there might finally be a face/off.
..well, that's the ending, and it was viciously disappointing. All-in-all, though, great picture.
