Review of Unbreakable (2000) by Denis M — 06 Sep 2014
Unbreakable emphasises Shyamalan's talents as a director and the film boasts some dynamic shots as well a strong and dark superhero theme throughout. His writing, while mostly competent, falls flat when the film approaches its conclusion as his need for exposition gives way to clunky and occasionally melodramatic dialogue as well as confused storytelling.
An entertaining yet frustrating watch.
