Review of Unbreakable (2000) by Porkenstein T — 14 Oct 2011
You might think: Shyamalan, Jackson and Willis in one, that can't go wrong. And you're right, it doesn't go wrong, but it doesn't add up either. Two things I didn't liked. First: it's not enough for a suspense movie to just throw good and evil together.
There is no benefit visible for the evil part in the movie in any of its actions and that makes it implausible. Evil has always a cause. Second: I was not convinced about Willis character turn from denial to acceptance.
It could be the weak script, Willis acting or Shyamalan's directing - either way, both did better before.
