Review of Umberto D. (1952) by Jdc + Vlt — 11 Sep 2008
On one level this film is extremely simple, but this simplicity serves to heighten the emotional tensions of the characters. There is so much inner turmoil that goes left unsaid, yet is completely understandable to the viewer; a true accomplishment that makes the film extremely powerful.
