Hollywood's vision on the native indians vs. the U.S. Cavalry is deconstructed in this realistic story about the hunt for a renegade Apache by using the services of another Apache as scout (Jorge Luke as the cool Ki-Ne-Tay).
Lancaster is great as the scout leader with some great dialogue lines (man: "I am not Dutch!" Lancaster: "Well..you look Dutch to me!") Too bad this movie wasn't presented in cinemascope format.
