Review of Ultraviolet (2006) by Ifrah A — 07 Apr 2010
This is a movie that is screaming out for a director's cut to be released. After the Wimmer handed it over to the studio they recut it dropping over 30 minutes in the process.
Still, despite this and despite the fact that the movie really isn't that good, I still liked it. It had the basis of a good plot (which may have been ruined by the studio's edit) and a return of the gunkata I loved from Equilibrium. Despite the fact that Wimmer says this gunkata is a more pure form, I prefer the stuff in Equilibrium, although Milla Jovovich obviously looks a lot better doing it than Christian Bale could ever hope to do (especially with her toned stomach on show).
