Review of Ultraviolet (2006) by Kathryn P — 28 Dec 2011
This was a poorly crafted film which gives the ilusion you are playing some sort of video game since the plot is not very deep and the special effects arent that great either. It has a sort of video game and anime feel to the film.
Milla Jovovich is much better in the Resident Evil trilogy but Id probably say she is the only good thing this movie had going for it. The story was week. A virus has turned more than half of the population into hemophages who happen to be some sort of vampire like creatures with high speed and hightened senses.
The government is trying to exterminate this new breed and Milla Jovovich just happens to be a hemophage herself so she is fighting this fascist government and while doing so she encounters a boy who has been some sort of lab rat for the government and who may hold the key to finding a cure.
The plot is not very well crafted out as arent the special effects either. Overall the movie just had too much of a video game feel for me and I didnt enjoy it although I cant say it was the worst movie I have seen in the last couple of weeks.
I only recomend this film if you are a Milla Jovovich fan, if not skip this one!
