Review of UHF (1989) by Zachary C — 22 Mar 2008
Pulling from Weird Al's parodic humour in his music, this film is almost in the same genre of Mel Brooks. Weird Al with an obvioulsy low budget to this film, is the traditional underdog story by taking a washed up UHF station, and beating the network affiliate downtown.
While all the time engaging in some quirky events, including some that try to save the station: Wheel of Fish and Raul's Wild Kingdom. This underplayed film is rather classic in it's thoughts.
