Review of UHF (1989) by Erno K — 24 May 2009

I watched this movie many times maybe fifteen years ago. Now, after all this time, I wanted to check if this cult classic could still bring the funny.

Weird Al is no actor, that much is obvious throughout the film, but this movie was never about Oscar-worthy performances. The main goal is comedy, and this old chap can still bring it better than many new movies. The spoofs, the TV programs and the fake commercials are easily my favorite part. The storyline that unfolds in between is much more boring. Many jokes are also pretty lame, so this is once again a hit-and-miss flick. Fond memories, though.

And would so watch Conan the Librarian in real life.
