Review of UHF (1989) by Alexander K — 21 Jul 2013
An 80's classic. Perhaps unfavourably remembered as being a terrible film, it actually holds up reasonably well which is probably why it holds a fond place in the nostalgic hearts of many Gen X's.
Not that he is that great of an actor, but it's odd that based on this performance, Weird Al didn't go on to do anything else. Maybe his shtick could only work with this role. Interested to see pre-Seinfeld Michael Richards and pre-The Nanny Fran Drescher at work too.
Contains two or three of my favourite lines from films from the 80s which has to count for something...."Badgers!? Badgers?! We don't need no stinkin' badgers!!
