Review of UHF (1989) by Frank S — 21 Dec 2009
This is actually one of the best "low budget-looking" movies I've seen in quite awhile. Weird Al plays a lovable character trying to save an outdated television station, known as "U-62" in Tulsa's TV market, trying to compete with RJ Fletcher's powerhouse Channel 8.
With the help of Stanley, Channel 8's ex-janitor turned TV personality at U-62, the station is saved and everyone lives happily ever after. If you can still find this one on VHS on the Clearance Rack at the movie store, pick it up.
It does not get the appreciation it deserves.
